It's undeniable that within the realms of gaming, Twitch and YouTube streaming is where all the money is at unless you're an esports professional winning an outrageous number of events per year. But, just how much money do Twitch streamers earn through subscriptions and adverts?

Well, according to a reported Twitch leak, they earn a bucket load of cash...

A leaked Twitch payout list has surfaced which reportedly shows how much streamers have made since August 2019, from subscriptions and ads alone, with some streamers making just shy of $10million in two years.

Topping the leaked charts is CriticalRole, a channel that hosts a collective bunch of professional voice actors who play Dungeons and Dragons. In the latter half of their second series, the fantasy fanatics have reportedly earned a colossal $9,626,712.16, beating the household names such as Felix "xQc" Lengyel.

Lengyel ($8.4mil) is among four other names who have earned over $5million according to the leaked Twitch payouts, joining Jaryd "Summit1g" Lazar ($5.8mil), Turner "Tfue" Tenney ($5.2mil), and Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff ($5.1mil).

The leaked Twitch payouts have surfaced on social media platforms such as 4chan and Twitter, after the streaming platform has been reportedly hacked.

Some other figures showing that Lengyel has topped last months' payouts, amassing a huge $752,000. Notably, CriticalRole have been left off the list, as they have taken a break ahead of their Series 3 launch this month.

It's worth noting, that these figures also don't contain Twitch signing contracts, which have been increasingly lucrative due to the ongoing war with YouTube. Donations, sponsorships, merchandise, and other streaming platforms revenue.

Shroud, for example, sits at $2mil, according to the first statistics from August 2019 to October 2021, but has recently bought a house for $9.2million in the same neighbourhood as music moguls Kanye West and Drake.

It also recently came to light that Anika "Sintica" F., a German DJ, was the highest-paid female streamer of 2021, beating the likes of Imane "Pokimane" Anys and Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa.

The Twitch leaks could apparently also pose a threat to personal data, and streamers on the platform are now being urged to change their passwords. According to the latter leak, password encryption codes have been compromised.
