An iconic Call of Duty map is being remastered for Modern Warfare 2, and fans of the Infinity Ward series will be overjoyed.

With Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 being delayed by two weeks, multiplayer fans have been pleading for some well-needed updates to the game.

Now, the roadmap for Season 2 has been revealed, and there are two rather familiar maps set to arrive, and one is an iconic fan favourite.

Dome Is Being Remastered For Modern Warfare 2

Dome, the iconic landscape from Modern Warfare 3 (2011) has been announced as one of two maps that will be coming to MW2 in Season 2.

The map, which has been remade twice already, will become available to players when the update goes live on February 12.

Unlike its previous two remakes though (Unearthed in Ghosts and Radar in Vanguard), the MW2 remaster of Dome is set to be an exact replica of the original design, given that its name will stay the same and the developers chose to keep the iconic spherical building as its display icon.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Adds Two 6v6 Maps

Two, two, and more two. Sorry this is a mouthful, but Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 will have two new six-versus-six maps, and Museum will finally be introduced to the game alongside Dome.

Valderas Museum, which was played in the MW2 beta and since subject to alleged copyright laws, is the other multiplayer map to be added.

Season 2 will also see Al Malik Internation and Zaya Observatory be introduced as Battle Maps (25 vs 25), five new weapons arrive (ISO Hemlock, KV Broadside, Crossbow, Dual Kodachis, and Tempus Torrent), and the return of the Japanese-American operator Ronin from Modern Warfare 2019.

Dome, Museum, and the rest of the Season 2 content will be available on February 15, alongside a wealth of new content for DMZ and Warzone 2.
