Heading into the 2021 season of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Fnatic has made the decision to move Robin "flusha" Rönnquist to their inactive roster.

The 27-year-old Swedish Rifler who has a whopping $877,000 prize pool earnings to his name over a 12 year career has endured most of his success at Fnatic, including multiple ESL, DreamHack, and Intel Extreme Masters World Championships. Having been at Fnatic since 2013 - with the exception of two six-month long stints at Cloud9 and GODSENT - flusha will now look to embark on a new chapter of his career.

Recent reports surfaced speculating that flusha is set to be teaming with Timothy “autimatic” Ta and Miikka "suNny" Kemppi and have already begun approaching organisations about creating a new team under a different banner. The pair are both still under contract at Gen.G and ENCE respectively, although both are also on an inactive roster.

As for Fnatic, they have recently been linked with 21-year-old rising star Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattson, who was originally suspected to be filling the boots of Jesper "JW" Wecksell, although the move now makes much more sense.

Flusha and Fnatic have seemingly parted on good terms, concluding their long-winded love affair. However, it appears that the decision was made with a future signing in mind with Andreas Samuelsson, Head Coach of Fnatic CS:GO saying “Looking to the future of Fnatic CS:GO we've had to make some tough decisions about our roster and our legendary players. Robin is an amazingly talented player and I'm sure he will find a place in a top tier team very quickly. Flusha dropping to our inactive roster opens up a place on our active roster that we will use to rejuvenate our team for the 2021 season”.

All eyes are now on Jackinho to see whether he will be able to step into the shoes of the once-second best player in the world.
