Fortnite's No Build mode has been a revelation. After redefining the battle royale genre when it first came onto the scene, the skill gap in Fortnite was transformed overnight when building took over. Since then, many flocked to other titles where they didn't have to break their own fingers to keep up. Could they be lured back with a first-person Fortnite

Many moved over to FPS titles like Warzone and Apex Legends, where gun skill became prominent instead of building Taj Mahal-esque structures to avoid gunfire.  Now, Fortnite's old guard is returning thanks to the No Build. They might be in for a nice surprise, as Epic Games look to be experimenting with one huge element of their competitors: first-person.

Is A First-Person Fortnite Coming?

According to renowned Fortnite leaker "HYPEX", Epic Games could be set to trial a first-person Fortnite mode, which will likely feature within the No Build variant of the game. The new mode is reportedly in "early development," but there are few details about when it could be added.

The accompanying screenshot from HYPEX showcases a first-person gun action, which looks pretty amazing. Well, when is the Fortnite First-Person coming? If HYPEX's claims are true, it's likely that Epic Games is going to be quick to develop this on the hush while the No Build Fortnite remains popular.

Typically, Epic will wait until the latest must-play mode begins to trail off, then renew interest in Fortnite with a plucky young upstart. So, while No Build continues to rake in good numbers, we might have to hold tight until a first-person Fortnite mode comes to fruition.

Has A First-Person Fortnite Already Been Debunked?

Interestingly, HYPEX might have struck out here. Having built a notorious reputation for producing accurate leaks in the past, the social media personality may have chanced his arm a little too far.  According to a reply within HYPEX's tweets, his provided screenshot was from a clip dating back to 2020.

While this doesn't exactly rule out a first-person Fortnite mode, it does add to the speculation - making the leaker out to have been caught out by old footage. However, it could simply be that HYPEX has new information but only old footage, meaning his words could still be credible.

We're not here to judge the leaks though, as somewhere in Fortnite - whether it be a glitch, mod, or an actual leak - there is a first-person ability. With hope, this first-person Fortnite mode could be Epic's main focus after releasing its vibey new season. Finally, we could be able to see how Fortnite stacks up against the likes of Warzone and Apex Legends.
