Fortnite prides itself on having an immense roster of playable characters in-game, borrowing from video games, TV, film and pop culture to populate their store with skins. They’ve adapted the likes of Star Wars, Marvel and Rick & Morty in recent memory, but they also borrow from real life for their huge slate of skins.

Pop stars and sports stars alike have frequented the battle bus, and popular streamers too have been injected into the game they play so often. But, the fans of one streamer have pointed out that a new skin looks similar to the face of FaZe - for some reason.

Fans Think The New Fortnite Summer Skin Looks Like NICKMERCS

A new collection of three original skins for Fortnite have been revealed by notorious leaker Hypex, and they look about as summery as you’d expect them to. Two women in swimwear and one absolute unit in swim shorts have been revealed. The comments got weird very fast, as you can imagine, but buried in there are a few mentions of a certain streamer.

Some fans have pointed out that the Brutus skin has a striking resemblance to Nicholas “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff, the popular streamer and face of esports league FaZe; but the skin just doesn’t look like him. At all.

In reality, fans are likely projecting; FaZe followers have wanted NICKMERCS to appear in Fortnite for the longest time, and many had hoped that the summer would bring it around - but so far, it doesn’t look likely. At least we’ve got Brutus, who’s much more akin to that of The Rock of Dave Bautista than Nick. If fans reckon Brutus looks like him, then he’ll fill the gap before the inevitable official skin comes. And who knows, it could still be this summer.
