Prior to the games' release, EA has announced the first FIFA 21 Global Series tournaments, with multiple stages leading to the FIFA eWorld Cup.

As players eagerly anticipate the release of FIFA 21, with the current instalment becoming stale, EA has wet the appetite of the best players in the world to continue their grind through the weekend league. With FIFA 21 set to be released on October 6, anybody looking to make a name for themselves will be able to do so following this announcement.

The FIFA 21 Global Series is set to span from November to August, with a series of tournaments and leagues for players to advance through. Starting with five leagues within each of the major regions (Europe, North America, and South America), and three leagues in the minor regions (East Asia, West Asia, and Oceania), the best of the best within each region will then advance into a super league. There, the top players from each league will qualify for the eWorld Cup.

The first leagues will kick off in November, a mere month after the release of the game.

Until then, fans can expect to be kept on their toes with the FIFA 21 Global Series Preseason Invitationals. In a short video featuring legends of the game such as Ronaldinho and Gareth Bale, EA revealed that the Twitch Rivals Preseason Invitational will take place on October 3-5.

Additionally, the YouTube Gaming FIFA 21 Creator Tournament will be hosted on October 8, allowing for fans to watch their favourite streamers and content creators go head to head.

It's not yet clear on who will be featured in each event, however, some hints were dropped through the logos in the video. For instance, Guild Esports' logo featured, hinting at their latest signing, Niklas Raseck being involved.
