The Game Awards came and went last night (or at least it did for most of Europe, for whom the event took place in the ungodly hours), and delivered some great reveals.

As is expected of the awards, studios came out in their droves to reveal new titles - Death Stranding 2, Hades 2, and a new title from the creators of Celeste to name but a few.

There were a lot of new things to look forward to by the time the showcase ended - but one thing sticks out.

The Bioshock Creator Is Back With A New Game, Judas

Among the huge announcements lay a game that may have flown under the radar compared to the bigger names - that is, if it weren't for the massive "from the creator of Bioshock" that led its trailer.

The new game, titled Judas, looks to be a fresh take on the things that made Bioshock so special - claustrophobic settings, elemental abilities, and the dread of what lies in the darkness around the corner. The game looks to have more of a sci-fi twinge to it than its predecessor, seeming to take place predominantly on some kind of Rapture-esque space station, and as the trailer closes with the tagline of "fix what you broke," it looks like the narrative could see some pretty tasty redemption.

We don't know an awful lot about the game beyond what we see in the trailer, but from what we have, it looks like we could be in for a treat.

When Is Judas Coming Out?

Sadly, though the game looks fantastic from its trailer alone, we don't have a release date or release window for the game just yet.

What we do know, however, is the platforms it'll be gracing - it'll be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Steam and Epic Games.

It looks like we could be waiting a hot minute for Judas to arrive, but it looks as though it'll be worth the wait.
