Our YuGiOh Master Duel deck tier list breaks down the best decks in current meta, giving them ranks from the best to worst. There are a tonne of deck combinations in YuGiOh, but only a relative few can stake the claim of being the best, meaning you'll need to find the right synergy between the different cards and archetypes. So read on for our YuGiOh Master Duel deck tier list and you'll be able to rise to the top of the ranked mode.

S+ Tier

  • D/D/D

The sheer potential of a D/D/D deck, along with its power and the variations it allows in a duel has to put it clear at the top of the tier list. Initially we had no S+ tier, but the D/D/D has shown to be one of, if not the best decks in the game right now. If you have mastered the mechanics of special summoning and understand how to chain effects together, this deck will be unbeatable in your hands. Its complexity is its only hurdle, so players with little experience should stay away until they are more familiar.

  • Synchro of Unity
  • Eldlich
  • Virtual World
  • Prank-Kids

Our S tier sees the best decks in the game, that range in complexity. The Synchro of Unity is a starter deck that is immediately one of the better decks in the game without further customisation, but it comes at the cost of being rather complicated. It utilises Synchro summoning, which allows you to populate the board with low-level monsters until you summon game-ending cards from the extra deck. This is different from Fusion summons, as you need Tuner cards which reach the exact level of the card you want to summon.

Additionally, are another two of the most powerful decks in the game, which currently rule ranked and the meta. Eldlich is a very simple deck to learn and even master, and relies on spell and trap cards to lock the opponent out of the game by denying them turns. There are very few monster cards to summon, and you want to get Eldlich the Golden Lord on the board as quickly as possible to deal damage.

Virtual World is a little harder to master, with some more complex mechanics like using the graveyard to summon monsters directly from the deck. The Virtual World cards also have effects for helping you swarm the board with monsters, which in tandem with the graveyard summoning, lets you overpower the enemy early on. You can then end the game with special summons from the extra deck, as you have powerful options and enough monsters to tribute.

Our Prank-Kids deck is a simple Fusion summoning deck that lets you employ easy-to-follow strategies for swarming your enemy. Flooding the board with the basic monster cards allows you to generate the needed materials for powerful Fusion summons. This can be done rather quickly, allowing you to place game-ending cards before most enemies have a hold on your tactics.

  • Drytron
  • Six Samurai

The Drytron deck is another deck that seems to be popular in the meta, and it's easy to see why right now. If you can get the first turn, it's possible to steam roll opponents by summoning the Herald of Ultimateness early. This card lets you deny the enemy from special summoning cards, and also destroys them, which can completely counter decks that are built around special summoning. You also have a powerful extra deck to draw from for game-ending attacks, with the possibility for ritual, Xyz, and link summoning.

The Six Samurai deck functions similar to the Power of the Dragon beat down deck. It's quite simple to use, and requires you to populate the board heavily with monsters. This is also bolstered by the spell and trap cards which lets you draw monster cards to further swarm the board and negate the effects of enemy traps. It's hard to go wrong with one of these decks, and its simplicity means it's easy to learn all its intricacies and mechanics.

B Tier

Exodia OTk

  • Exodia One Turn Kill Mega Draw
  • Power of the Dragon Beat Down

The Exodia deck is hugely powerful, and one of the few decks here that has the potential to OTK an enemy. As one of the strongest cards in the history of YuGiOh, Exodia is banned in the physical version, but its existence in Master Duel allows players to take advantage of specific decks built around high drawing power. This is one such deck, and it gives you a few ways to summon the Forbidden One and end the game, but it still relies on RNG that can fail you and put you in an unwinnable situation. Sadly, this is an inherent aspect of any deck with Exodia, considering the specific circumstances the card needs to win.

Our beat down remix of the Power of the Dragon deck is one of the simplest decks to use in the entire game, but its simplicity allows the more complex mechanical decks to outplay it. This is why it sits firmly in B tier. It's still one of the best decks to use due to how easy the strategies are, and the overall power of the deck thanks to cards like Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Five-Headed Dragon. The beat down way of playing is also simple, just relying on swarming the board with low level cards to do damage and Fusion summoning the more powerful dragons.

C Tier

  • Toon

While the Toon deck can be extraordinarily powerful in the right hands, it's just too easy to counter, so we can't score it any higher in this tier list. As the game is still early in its life cycle, this deck is great to make use of against new players who won't know how to effectively fight back. Considering it only takes the destruction of the Toon World card to make the deck useless, it's hard to feasibly place it any higher, though a Toon deck still has the potential to take on the S tier decks on this list with the right circumstances.

That's it for our YuGiOh Master Duel deck tier list. As we continue to add more to the best YuGiOh Master Duel decks list, we will update this tier list to reflect the quality of the decks.
