One Piece games aren’t exactly known for being short, but One Piece Odyssey is a venture in a whole new direction. While the video game adaptations have mostly been fighters, with the occasional stab at open-world adventures, this new entry is a step in an entirely different direction.

One Piece Odyssey takes the guise of being a JRPG, and as fans of the genre fully know, they’re not exactly known for being short affairs. With the expectations for a lengthy game, many are curious as to how many hours will need to be put aside to complete Luffy and the crew’s latest outing. If you want to know how long it is to beat One Piece Odyssey, you’ve come to the right place.

As a standard, JRPGs can often have main paths that exceed 50+ hours, with over 100+ of game time if players want to complete every quest, obtain every item, and explore every corner of the map. Fortunately - or unfortunately, depending how you look at it - One Piece Odyssey is a little on the shorter side.

By saying that, it’s not exactly something you’ll complete in a couple of sittings, but players looking to mainline the campaign are looking at around 30 hours to reach the credits. But as explained before, in the world of JRPGs, completing the main quest is only the beginning.

In One Piece Odyssey, there’s also a variety of Side Stories and Bounties to complete. You won’t be over encumbered with them, but there’s enough to drastically inflate the runtime. For anyone aiming to complete everything One Piece Odyssey has to offer, such as completing every side quest available, you’re most likely looking at around the 50-60 hour mark depending on your playstyle.

How this varies will depend on the player’s experience with the genre, and how well they equip themselves for the later, more challenging fights. One Piece Odyssey leans on the easier side of the JRPG market, but there will still be the odd hurdle even genre veterans will have to overcome to see the credits roll.
