If you're getting tired of playing Madden every year, then Maximum Football might be worth trying out for you. A lot of thought goes into every play in American Football, so you will be able to flex your tactical muscles in Maximum Football if you think you've got what it takes.

So, to see all we currently know about Maximum Football, including trailers, gameplay, and the platforms it is releasing on make sure to read below.

The only current Maximum Football release date information we have at the moment is that it will be released within 2023. This is of course a rather broad time frame, but we can make some guesses as to when it is likely to come out.

The most likely time period would be in the autumn months, around September time. This is primarily to capitalise on the recommencement of the NFL season on September 7, as there will obviously be high interest in American Football-related games.

Maximum Football Trailers

There is one trailer that is currently available to watch for Maximum Football, giving you a look at the graphics and action on the field. Thankfully it is a spotlight that is full of actual gameplay as opposed to cinematic moments, letting you see how your matches will actually play out.

Hopefully, we will be able to see an even more in-depth selection of additional videos closer to the game's release, giving fans and interested audiences all of the content they need to get excited about the Madden competitor.

Not to be confused with the Canuck Play Inc series that ended in 2020, or the 2006 Wintervalley Software title, Maximum Football is developed by Invictus Games and gives you ultimate control over your own football team.

You will be able to dictate all of the roster moves and craft all of the set plays, leading your team to ultimate victory if your skills are up to the mark. It also appears as if you will be able to play through the matches yourself too, which should give you even more control over your destiny.

Maximum Football is especially exciting as it is being made using Unreal Engine 5, so we should have some impressive visuals to make the games feel even more realistic. Combine this with a physics-based tackling system and you should be able to feel the crunch of every tackle.

There is also online multiplayer available, meaning that you'll be able to skirmish against your friends to determine who the best player is and get those ever-precious bragging rights.

Finally, the best news of all is that it will be completely free to play, meaning that you can try it out for no additional cost to see if it is good enough to pull you away from other high-profile titles like Madden. They have also committed to the game having no loot boxes or randomised content, which is great to see in opposition to what has become the standard free-to-play model.

Here are all of the platforms that you will be able to play Maximum Football on:

  • PlayStation 5
  • PlayStation 4
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • Xbox One
  • PC (via Steam)

Additionally, in fantastic news Invictus Games has confirmed that the game will support cross-platform crossplay, meaning that you'll be able to compete against your friends no matter what console they have.

They have not released any additional information regarding whether this extends to or includes PC matchmaking, but we can only hope so to get the full crossplay experience.

So, that wraps up everything we currently know about Maximum Football, giving you all of the trailers, platforms, and gameplay information that is out there. Stay up to date with more Maximum Football news by reading GGRecon.
