If you focus solely on the main story, only completing the side quests and assignments required as prerequisites to progress the story, it will take you between 35 and 40 hours to beat Hogwarts Legacy. However, if you're partaking in some of the optional side quests - like A Demanding Delivery, Kidnapped Cabbage, or Carted Away - you could be looking at a playtime of 50 to 60 hours to beat Hogwarts Legacy.
Although, Hogwarts Legacy director, Alan Tew, says in an interview with ComicBook.com that with all of the main quests, side quests, and collectables, doing a 100% run of Hogwarts Legacy took 80+ hours. On the other hand, that's a completed run done by the game's director with all of the knowledge such a position brings.
For new players, completing a 100% run of the game - including Hogwarts Legacy's 100 side quests - could take you even longer, maybe even 90 to 100 hours.
