Full Horizon Forbidden West Map: Size And Time To Cross
We have finally gotten our first look at the Horizon Forbidden West map. Horizon Forbidden West is an open-world game and as with all open-world games, we're all curious to see the size and details of the map. Now that the game is out, we can reveal the full map, including the physical leak from before launch. Here's everything you need to know about the Horizon Forbidden West map.

Horizon Forbidden West Map: The First Leak

Our first glimpse of the Horizon Forbidden West map came when a physical copy of the map appeared online. This was more of a stylized map, but it gave us some idea of what we can expect. It shows that the map is much bigger east to west than it is north to south. It makes sense, considering the point of the game is about travelling to the eponymous Forbidden West.
This map also gives us an idea of the breadth of biomes we will see in the game. It is such a colourful map, with deserts, forests, mountains, rivers, and beaches along the sea. This map also gave us clues as to where many settlements can be found, signified by colours representing the various tribes.

Since that first map made the rounds on the internet, we have gotten an even better, more in-depth look. This map has been taken directly from the game itself. Fair warning, there could be some minor spoilers from looking too closely at the map, but nothing huge.
The map shows markers for various locations. We can see settlements, collectables and activities, we can even see the Tallnecks that are needed to unlock the map. It's pretty huge, with around 16 square kilometres for players to explore. It can take upwards of 12 minutes to travel from one end to the other by flying mount.
