Is Avada Kedavra In Hogwarts Legacy?

Avada Kedavra may be one of the Unforgivable Curses in the Harry Potter universe, however, it seems in Hogwarts Legacy it may be a necessity for survival. Sometimes, it’s just good to be bad.

There are 26 spells you can learn throughout your time in Hogwarts Legacy and Avada Kedavra is one of them. If you’re hoping you can just jump into the school straight away and start firing away, unfortunately, that’s not the case.

In order to learn Avada Kedavra, you will have to venture a fair way into Hogwarts Legacy if you want to unlock it. Firstly, you'll need to complete almost all of the quests that Sebastian has to offer. Keep an eye out for a quest titled 'In The Shadow Of The Relic' - this is the one that you need to complete to unlock Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy.

This quest is locked behind character level 28, so you'll need to play almost to the very end of the game to be able to take on this challenge. In fact, the final mission in the main story is actually set at a few levels below level 28, so it's highly likely that you won't be able to use Avada Kedavra until you've finished your playthrough.

Nevertheless, once you've complete the 'In The Shadow Of The Relic' quest, you should be able to use Avada Kedavra in the remaining side quests that you have left to complete. 

While you won’t be able to go on sprees around the school, it can be handy to use in certain situations that demand it.
