Fortnite is ever-changing, with new content added weekly and massive updates arriving every few months. It feels as though you can’t leave it alone for a few days before something substantial has changed. Chapter 4 Season 1 has been around for a couple of weeks now, and yet, people are wondering when the next big update is on its way.

While we’re still early days in Chapter 4 of Fortnite, many are still wondering when the next chapter will arrive, or even the next season. With everything we know so far, let’s take a look at when the next Fortnite chapter and season could be.

When Will The Next Chapter Of Fortnite Arrive?

Since halfway through Chapter 2 of Fortnite, each season has run for three months, allowing players ample time to complete the battle pass and use everything the map has to offer. However, predicting how many seasons will take place within a chapter is a little trickier to determine.

Chapter 2 introduced the mixture of the structure of Fortnite and ran for 8 seasons, however, Chapter 3 only ran for 4. It’s unclear how many seasons Chapter 4 will run for, but we do know when the next season will be introduced for players to sink their teeth into.

Chapter 4 began on December 4th, and looking at previous seasons in the Fortnite universe, we can expect it to run for 10–12 weeks. This should put the next season’s arrival in the early March timeframe.

Current estimates believe that Chapter 4 Season 1 will end on March 10th, with the possibility of server downtime after this date to prepare for the new season. That would put the launch of Chapter 4 Season 2 on March 11th. Again, none of this is confirmed, but judging by the pattern of previous chapters and seasons in Fortnite, it seems like a fairly likely bet to make.

If this is the case, we can most likely expect another 10-12 week season that will end sometime in June. It seems Epic Games are gearing up for chapters to last 12 months if we take Chapter 3 into consideration, but we’ll have to see how Chapter 4 plays out to get a full picture of the future of Fortnite.
