As we said, Reforge Stones provide another way for players to upgrade and improve their gear by adding a random bonus attribute. These can only be applied to primary gear, and their effects are best utilised when you are in the end-game portion of content. Reforge Stones can be applied to gear rank 6, 11, and 16, by going to a Blacksmith and selecting the 'Reforge' option. It's a powerful tool when you have legendary gear that doesn't quite have the attributes you want, allowing you to alter them to fit you more.

There are also more powerful versions called Family Reforge Stones that grant you family set bonus attributes to all gear that's been reforged into that family. There are six types currently, which are:

  • Barrier Family - You have a 2% chance to gain an absorption shield for six seconds whenever you're attacked.
  • Jolt Family - You have a 2% chance to immobilise an attacker when they hit you.
  • Ravager Family - When killing an enemy, you have a 2% chance to cause the corpse to explode and cause damage in an AoE.
  • Tremor Family - Your primary attacks have a 2% chance to inflict damage and stun enemies for 1.5 seconds.
  • Vengeance Family - Your primary attacks have a 2% chance to increase all your sources of damage by 100% for one second.
  • Wildfire Family - You have a 2% chance to summon a fireball-sitting Hydra when you get a kill.

There are a couple of ways to earn Reforge Stones in-game. You're able to purchase eight Reforge Stones from the merchant called Lieutenant Fiziriah in Rakkis Plaza every week, and progressing through the battle pass will allow you to earn several as well. In the same area, you can also visit Yverious to get Family Reforge Stones for 100 Eternal Orbs. Eternal Orbs are a premium currency, so you will need to purchase it with real money.

That's all for our breakdown of the Diablo Immortal Reforge Stones, and now you know what purpose they serve in making your gear more powerful.

We also have an explainer of the Diablo Immortal Potency attribute, which is important for characters with lots of CC and status effects.
