Best Warzone KG M40 Loadouts: How To Unlock The KG M40 In Warzone

The way you unlock the KG M40 is once again nothing unusual. The two options currently available are either to level the Season 2 Battle Pass until tier 15 or to buy a weapon blueprint directly from the store. While you might be after the shiny, tier 15 on the Battle Pass is a relatively low bar that should be unlocked by just playing the game for a couple of hours.

It’s also likely that you will eventually be able to unlock the KG M40 through those other achievements but for now, it is only available by the two methods outlined above.

Best Warzone KG M40 Loadouts: Attachments

The likely Bren-killer will, unfortunately, require some levelling on your part in order to get up and running but even the low-level version already performs quite well on the battlefield. We still recommend going with the weapon XP perks while you are levelling up to get to the best attachments more efficiently. 

Once the best Warzone KG M40 attachments are unlocked, the gun starts beaming opponents much like the best assault rifles before it did. It does so with great ammunition efficiency as it comes out of the gate with one of the highest DPS in its class and has a healthy magazine size. This gun will last you for two or three opponents at a time before requiring a reload which remains true even at rather long ranges.

Given the high effective range of the KG M40, the longer-range scopes can definitely come in handy as a lot of fights are had at those ranges on Caldera. Most attachments will try to make your KG M40 as stable as possible while increasing its damage.

For this assault rifle, larger magazines are the way to go turning this assault rifle into an absolute menace. We’ll see how kind balance patches will be to it.

Best Warzone KG M40 Loadout: Perks

We generally need nothing fancy with the KG M40 though playing Ghost or High Alert could be dangerous as the gun is too slow to the punch in close range situations, requiring a strong secondary.

• Perk 1: Double Time
• Perk 2: Overkill (unless strong secondary looted)
• Perk 3: Combat Scout
• Secondary: Welgun 
• Lethal: Throwing Knife
• Tactical: Tactical Syringe

The Welgun is looking like the definitive secondary choice in this state of the game, complementing the KG M40 incredibly well. However, if you find strong ground loot then High Alert is generally preferable. Given that dynamic situation, we recommend two loadouts with the same specifications but one with Overkill and one with High Alert or Ghost.
