Xiao is an Anemo element user whose Elemental Skill, Lemniscatic Wind Cycling, and Elemental Burst, Bane of All Evil, deal Anemo based damage. So to attain the best Genshin Impact Xiao build, players must use Artifacts and Weapons that complement the Anemo abilities. 

That aside, Xiao is a DPS unit whose character kit makes him one of the best Burst DPS units in the entire game. Unlike some other characters, building Xiao around his Elemental Skill or Normal Attack talents is a waste of DPS potential compared to building Xiao as a pure Burst DPS unit.

Best Weapons For Xiao 

The best weapon for attaining a pure Burst DPS build for Xiao is none other than his featured weapon, the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear. The weapon not only increases the CRIT Rate% of Xiao's attacks by a lot. Its weapon skill, Eagle Spear of Justice, increases Xiao's ATK% by 3.2%, for 6 seconds on every hit. This skill can stack up to seven times, and when players attain all seven stacks, they get an additional ATK% increase of 12%. 

If you don't have the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, you can also use the Staff of Homa. It scales Xiao's ATK% based on his HP%, and it gives an additional ATK% boost of 1% of Xiao's Max HP whenever his HP is below 50%.

The only problem with the above two weapons is that they are five-star weapons that players can only obtain from the Epitome Invocation banner by performing wishes. Because of that, free-to-play players might find it hard to get hold of the above two weapons. 

Thankfully, Genshin Impact offers many chances and options to get four-star weapons in the game without indulging in microtransactions.

Here are the stat bonus that you get on using the Vermillion Hereafter artifact set:

• 2-Piece Bonus - ATK +18%.
• 4-Piece Bonus - After using an Elemental Burst. this character will gain the Nascent Light effect, increasing their ATK by 8% for 16s. When the character's HP decreases, their ATK will further increase by 10%. 
• This increase can occur this way a maximum of 4 times. This effect can be triggered once every 0.8s. Nascent Light will be dispelled when the character leaves the field. 
• If an Elemental Burst is used again during the duration of Nascent Light, the original Nascent Light will be dispelled.

You can use the Viridescent Venerer artifact set to increase Xiao's Anemo DMG. 

• 2-Piece Bonus - Anemo DMG Bonus +15%
• 4-Piece Bonus - Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.
