Animal Crossing Heart Crystals are a form of in-game currency available exclusively through the month of June. Heart Crystals will net you Wedding Items to decorate your Animal Crossing Island with, but you'll have to work to acquire them. This guide will explain what Heart Crystals are, what they're good for, and how to obtain them.

What Are Animal Crossing Heart Crystals?

Heart Crystals are a special type of Animal Crossing currency awarded by Reese during the Wedding Season event. Wedding Season is a limited-time Animal Crossing event that occurs annually from June 1 to June 30.

Animal Crossing Heart Crystals' primary use is as a currency to purchase wedding-themed items from Cyrus. Speak to Cyrus, Reese's husband, and he'll trade you Wedding Items in exchange for the Heart Crystals. Heart Crystals are the only currency Cyrus will accept.

Heart Crystals have a few secondary uses as well. If you already have all the Wedding Items or just aren't interested in acquiring them, Heart Crystals can be sold for 100 Bells each. Those satisfied with their Animal Crossing bank account can opt to give Heart Crystals to villagers as gifts. Villagers that receive Heart Crystals as gifts will respond with unique dialogue referencing the Heart Crystal.

Reese divvies out Heart Crystals as payment for taking anniversary photos of her and Cyrus. You can find Reese and Cyrus on Harv's Island, accessible via Dodo Airlines.

Through your first six wedding photo shoots, Reese will award a maximum of 11 Heart Crystals per shoot. From the seventh photo shoot on, Reese will up the payment to a maximum of 15 Heart Crystals. Even if Reese is not satisfied with your photos, she'll pay a minimum of five Heart Crystals per shoot.

To earn Heart Crystals efficiently, you'll need to tailor your Wedding Season photo shoots to Reese's theme and colour requests. If you don't follow instructions, she's not going to pay out as many Heart Crystals.

Obtaining every Wedding Item will cost over 260 Heart Crystals — and more if you want all the colour variations — so you'll need to do a quality job on the anniversary photos if you hope to earn enough Heart Crystals to collect the entire set.

That concludes this guide on Animal Crossing Heart Crystals. Participate in the Wedding Season event throughout the month of June, earn Heart Crystals, and collect Wedding Items. These limited-time themed items are only on sale for one month a year, so make sure to grab them while you can.
