Your First Look At GTA 6 Is Apparently Here

It's safe to say that fans have been waiting for a new mainline entry into the Grand Theft Auto series for a while.

Our last proper GTA experience was when GTA V launched almost a full decade ago, and three console generations later, we're still waiting. GTA Online is tiding some fans over, but it simply hasn't been enough for others. Luckily, though, we know now that GTA VI is officially in the works, and though we may still have a while to wait to actually see it, to know it's coming at all is reassuring.

But, our first look at the game might be with us already.

GTA Leaker Hints We've Already Seen GTA 6

One leaker has suggested that rather than waiting for a first look at the new GTA game, we've actually had the very first peek at GTA 6 already.

One image was discovered in the files of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition back in November of last year, with many players wondering what it could mean. It was theorized to be the first look at GTA 6, or at least a mild tease - and one leaker has suggested we were right to think so.

"After a few months, I have confirmed that this image is from the next title in the Grand Theft Auto series," they say. "The location in-game is inspired by an American suburb, in the vicinity of Hollywood, Florida."

Truthfully, we don't actually know an awful lot about the upcoming newest entry into the Grand Theft Auto series. The first announcement of the game stated that "we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details."

Beyond this, and the supposed first look at the game, we're a little in the dark. But, as time draws on, we grow closer and closer to that all-important reveal trailer - and we really, truly cannot wait for it.
