The Epic Games Store's streak of quality free games continues, as they join with Gearbox to offer a free Borderlands game for users.

Borderlands Tiny Tina DLC: What Is It?

Gearbox announced very recently that Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure is available for free on the Epic Games Store. The title in question is a re-release of the Borderlands 2 DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, which came out all the way back in 2013.

From this point forward, the DLC is now a standalone title, and can be bought and played without owning Borderlands 2. It will cost $10 but until November 16, PC users can download it from the Epic Games Store. Once it's downloaded, the game is yours to keep forever. Presumably, Gearbox are doing this in an attempt to hype up their upcoming Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, which is a medieval and magic-themed Borderlands spin-off, set to release next year.

A store page for the expansion also features a new brief that states: "Play Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, then wishlist its full-size follow-up Tiny Tina's Wonderlands! Smash skeletons, defeat dragons, and battle giant golems in Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure."

"Experience the acclaimed 2013 quest that started it all in this standalone campaign jam-packed with fantasy, fun, and mountains of magical loot! The Queen's been captured and her kingdom is in peril; only you and your friends have any chance of restoring peace to this eccentric, enchanted land. Blast your way through treacherous forests, spooky crypts, and fearsome fortresses, but beware your journey can change in an instant on account of Tina's gleefully chaotic whims. Dive into this epic tabletop romp and get ready for the fantasy fight of your life!"

What Is Tiny Tina's Wonderland?

It's an upcoming spin-off of the Borderlands series, that features unstable teen explosive expert Tiny Tina, who was debuted in the second game in the series. Wonderland is set to be the third spin-off in the series, coming after Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Telltale's Tales from the Borderlands. Hopefully it will tide fans over until Borderlands 4 finally releases, though expect the wait to be awhile.

The title is set to release on March 25, 2022 and will come to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and select PC storefronts.
