Popular streamers Felix "xQc" Lengyel and Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek have both come out to roast Lost Ark, following its highly-anticipated release to Western continents.

It seems like no one can stop talking about Lost Ark. After initially being released in 2019, the Korean MMORPG game was finally made available to Western continents on February 11, 2022. As its highly-anticipated Western release date arrived, the game quickly smashed records, becoming the second most played game (by concurrent players) in Steam's history.

However, it doesn't seem that everyone is all that impressed with Lost Ark as both xQc and Shroud have openly slammed the game in their reviews.

What Did xQc Say About Lost Ark?

During his livestream on February 13, xQc was asked by one of his viewers whether or not he would consider broadcasting his playthrough of Lost Ark. However, the 26-year-old responded: "Am I going to play Lost Ark? Probably not. It's a very grindy game. It's a very MMO'ish game. It’s not really my big forte these days. I've played MMOs my entire life, and I think I've had my share with them."

His comments follow a glowing review of Lost Ark by Zack "Asmongold", who even returned to stream from his main Twitch channel in order to have a go at the early access launch of the MMO. After a lengthy ten-hour stream in his first playthrough of the game, Asmongold expressed his love for the MMO and declared that we could continue to play it.

However, for xQc, Twitch's most popular streamer in 2021, it couldn't be any more different. Despite Lost Ark's popularity, xQc declared: "I don't give a sh*t. I don't care. Do you want to know why? Because I don't play sh*t based on how many views it gets. It's that simple."

What Did Shroud Say About Lost Ark?

It's safe to say that out of the two, Shroud probably gave the most scathing review of Lost Ark. Then again, this certainly isn't the first time he's been highly critical of a popular MMO game. After being initially a little reluctant to play Lost Ark before it was even released because of its "over-the-top style," Shroud only got more critical after his playthrough. The passionate MMO fan even went on to claim that "it was the most boring game [he'd] ever played." However, he clarified that he was only "levelling" in the beta version of the game.

Shroud did hint that he would give the game another go, but stated: "Chances are, what's going to happen is that I'm going to play it, I'm going to be bored as f**k as I level, and I'll probably quit again before I hit max level."

So, it's clear that xQc and Shroud aren't exactly the biggest fans of Lost Ark. However, with the hype surrounding the fantasy MMO only growing, it doesn't look like their words have done enough to deter any new players from starting their adventures in Arkesia.
