Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Gives Tiny Mushroom Characters A Big Booty
While we sadly don't have an update on the mythical Borderlands 4, at least Gearbox is satisfying our Pandora itch with the release of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. The latest Borderlands spin-off will once again focus on the pint-sized demolitions expert, but following the latest trailer, everyone is obsessed with a different MVP.
Wonderlands is the successor to Borderlands 2's Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC from 2013. This time though, she's holding up a whole game on her own. The action RPG allows for solo or co-operative play with squads of up to four and six character classes. We've just been introduced to two new character classes, and it turns out, a big booty mushroom is snatching the limelight.
Why Are Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Players Obsessed With A Mushroom?
The latest trailer for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has introduced the final two character classes. Alongside the previously announced Brr-Zerker, Clawbringer, Stabbomancer, and Spellshot, we're now selling hello to the Graveborn and Spore Warden. The Graveborn will master dark magic, with a description reading, "Death-touched acolytes who sacrifice health to unleash devastating Dark Magic attacks and become the phantasmal Reaper of Bones, accompanied by their manic Demi-Lich companion."
Although that's all well and good, it's the Spore Warden class that's raised a few eyebrows by packing plenty of junk in the trunk. The Spore Warden is effectively the same as D&D's Druid, described as follows: "Masters of nature who summon tornadoes and launch volleys of arcane arrows into enemies alongside their toxin-spewing Mushroom Companion."
Looking at the "toxin-spewing" companion, it's amazing (but brilliant) that someone has spent their day rendering mushroom butts. As one person on Twitter joked, you now have the ability take a dragon AND a farting mushroom with you on your adventure. What a time to be alive.
What Else Do We Know About Tiny Tina's Wonderlands?
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is still two months out from launch, but now we know the six character classes, we can start planning our builds. Something between the Graveborn and Spore Warden as a Dark Druid build sounds like a deadly addition to the battlefield.
Importantly, the fact that you're not locked to a primary class throughout your adventure means you can mix and match for some class-based chaos. As for big booty mushroom companions, we feel it would be amiss if we didn't say we were reminded of when Dead by Daylight nerfed Pyramid Head's ass. Clearly Behaviour Interactive has been giving some of that extra cake to the Gearbox designers.
