Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the defining titles of the last video game generation. The culmination of years of Rockstar’s work, the game is a staple of its genre with immense graphical fidelity and a story that will go down in history as one of gaming’s best. The replayability might be a little low, but luckily, that’s where Red Dead Online comes in.

Borrowing from GTA Online’s gameplay style with more rootin’ tootin’ flair, Red Dead Online is the perfect outlet for galloping across old America with your mates, raiding trains and blasting your enemies. The game is getting regular updates to keep the game fresh, but the latest seems to be having the opposite effect, as fans are not happy about the latest buff to the game.

Red Dead Online’s Controversial Update

The latest Red Dead Online update has caused some trouble for players, as many users feel that these updates aren’t doing enough to keep gameplay fresh. The patch brought in some more horse races to the game, including point-to-point, lap and open variants of races. While this will tide some fans over, others feel it simply isn’t enough to keep them engaged.

Fan’s Response To New Red Dead Online Update

The replies to the tweet announcing these additions to the game were not happy, and are proof that fans need Rockstar to do more for Red Dead Online. Some are calling the developers into question for their 'laziness' in this update, insisting that they’re just not doing enough.

It’s clear that fans are unhappy, as it’s plain to see how little the game gets in the way of attention, especially when compared to Rockstar’s other online-focused title, GTA Online. Fingers crossed they can offer players a little more to do - otherwise, they’re at risk of losing their fans incredibly quickly.
