PlayStation is really starting to steer into its adaptations, and the next couple of weeks will show if it was right to do so.

The live-action side of the studio is stepping up to the plate after the launch of Uncharted, and as The Last of Us is gearing up to debut on HBO in the coming weeks, there's every chance that they could kick off a new era of video game adaptations with Joel and Ellie's story.

Plus, with a God of War series coming to Prime Video, and Horizon getting an original Netflix series, it seems like video game adaptations could be in good hands.

And that's been proved once again by a brand-new teaser trailer for an upcoming movie based on an iconic PlayStation property.

Gran Turismo Movie Gets A New Teaser Trailer

Right as we were about to forget that it was happening in the first place, we've got a first teaser for the upcoming Gran Turismo movie, which is bound to excite fans of the racing series.

The teaser features some fantastic footage of the film that looks to be harnessing the power of the cinema to put viewers in the driver's seat - as stars Archie Madekwe, Orlando Bloom, and David Harbour introduce the footage.

It's the sort of thing that can only be seen for you to believe the hype - but even though many fans weren't sure that the series could adapt to a movie experience, it looks as though it could follow through dramatically.

Orlando Bloom - Gran Turismo Is 'Made For The Cinema'

Speaking as a part of the teaser, Bloom has hyped the game's adaptation on the silver screen, and reckons that it's one that you'll need to get into the Picturehouse for. "This movie is made for the cinema," he says.

"It's badass racecar action that you're gonna feel like you're in the middle of," adds co-star David Harbour. Gran Turismo will be directed by Neill Blomkamp, who you'll remember as the man behind District 9. 

Alongside the fans, it seems the film's stars are pretty excited about it, and as such, we are too. Believe it or not, the Gran Turismo movie might be great. You heard it here first.
