Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is coming very soon. The game's publisher, GameMill Entertainment, was kind enough to share some exclusive gameplay content with fans on YouTube on September 9. Then, one brief character combat move showed that all you SpongeBob SquarePants meme makers out there have been officially recognised.

Is The 'Mocking SpongeBob' Meme In Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl?

That's right, it's official. The 'Mocking SpongeBob' meme will be making an appearance in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Since its emergence in 2016, the screenshot has become a statement image in the huge collective of SpongeBob SquarePants memes out there. Even the actor behind SpongeBob's distinctive voice, Tom Kenny, shared his attempt to recreate the meme.

What is the 'Mocking SpongeBob' meme? Well, according to knowyourmeme.com, "Mocking SpongeBob, also known as Spongemock, refers to an image macro featuring cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants in which people use a picture of SpongeBob to indicate a mocking tone towards an opinion or point of view."

SpongeBob certainly isn't the only character in the beloved TV series to be featured in the popular memes. Those scrolling through Reddit trying to find some relatable Bikini Bottom-themed content out there could come across 'Surprised-Patrick', 'Confused Mr Krabs' or, 'Handsome Squidward/ Squidward-Falling'.

What Is Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl About?

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl promises to give old-school Nickelodeon kids a quality piece of nostalgia. Scheduled for release on October 5, 2021, The Super Smash Bros-inspired fighting game will give players the chance to have some of their favourite characters to go head-to-head in a silly, but nonetheless epic, battle. You can check out the full list of playable characters who have been announced so far here

In the gameplay video, GameMill Entertainment shared some of the impressive attacks players will be able to use against their opponent. Each individual character has its own action to taunt their opponent. For example, gamers playing as everyone's favourite absorbent-and-yellow-and-porous character will be able to taunt using 'Mocking SpongeBob', whereas Patrick Star will use his signature "mean" belly slap (see clip above).

So, SpongeBob meme makers out there... keep it up! You never know, one day your meme could be featured in an all-star combat video game.
