Oh, so Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey aren't enough for you? If the leads of HBO's The Last of Us TV series don't float your boat, adding Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman might fulfil your need for A-list talent.

For longer than we care to remember, word of a live-action version of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us has been doing the rounds. As the show starts to come into focus, the cast is finally being fleshed out with the likes of Pascal, Ramsey, and (potentially) Offerman.

Is Nick Offerman In The Last Of Us?

The latest scoop comes courtesy of an interview in The Guardian, where actor Murray Barlett dropped this casting bombshell. Known for his role as Armond in HBO's The White Lotus, Bartlett is playing a very different character as Frank in The Last of Us

Speaking to the outlet, Bartlett said, "We filmed it in Calgary. A lot of my scenes are with Nick Offerman. Playing off him was awesome." Unfortunately, that's all we have to go off for now. No official sources have confirmed Offerman's involvement, nor is it listed as one of his upcoming projects.

Who Could Nick Offerman Be Playing In The Last Of Us?

Now, let's open the doors to who Offerman could be playing. The most obvious choice would be a survivor named Bill. In 2013's video game, Frank is the partner of Bill - with the pair helping fortify the Lincoln safe zone for 20 years. Then again, it's a relatively minor role that doesn't fit Offerman's acting chops and has already been cast with Con O’Neill.

Alongside his role as Ron Swanson in Parks and Rec, Offerman has smashed into the mainstream with everything from We're the Millers to The Lego Movie. If he has made it into The Last of Us, here's hoping it's a substantial role where he'll be sticking around for a while.

Elsewhere, there are those frequent cries for Offerman to play Kratos in a live-action God of War. Again unconfirmed, there are hopes Sony is adapting the Ghost of Sparta's story for the small or silver screen. Stepping up to The Last of Us would definitely show Offerman has what it takes to star in video game adaptations.
