The claws are out at Insomniac Games, as the upcoming Wolverine game is sure to boost the ever-growing genre of superhero video games. After the success of Marvel's Spider-Man and the Miles Morales spin-off, there's a lot of hype for Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine.

Although details about the clawed Canadian's PS5 title are thin on the ground, we know Wolverine will be a truly new-gen game that can make the most out of the console's grunt. Wolverine has appeared in plenty of Marvel titles, and even held up his own in the likes of X-Men Origins: Wolverine game. Doing Insomniac's work for it, one fan has created an impressive Wolverine concept trailer in Unreal Engine 5.

What Does The Unreal Engine Wolverine Trailer Look Like?

Noted concept gamer TeaserPlay is back with another project we wish existed. Picking up where Insomniac's official Wolverine trailer left, it zooms in on the titular mutant chilling at a quiet bar. Things are so quiet because he's surrounded by a group of bodies - presumably in the aftermath of a fight.

In the trailer, Logan says, "My grandfather called me a ronin, a samurai without a master." There's also some sombre guitar music that wouldn't seem out of place in The Last of Us. We get a definite sense of Wolverine's isolation, which reminds us of when we first meet Hugh Jackman's live-action version of the character in 2000's X-Men movie.

We see Wolverine step outside to confront a mysterious stranger, but sadly, we don't get to see any concept gameplay. Let's be honest, the whole reason we're coming to a Wolverine game is to see him go full berserker and shred some grunts to pieces with his claws. Still, if Insomniac's game is anything like this, we'd be happy.

There were the usual cheers for someone in the industry to hire TeaserPlay. We've previously seen their amazing concepts for remakes of 2005's God of War and a proper revamp of GTA III, but the Wolverine concept is something different. You never know who is watching, and remember, one of the Fallout: London writers was actually hired by Bethesda.

Cheering on TeaserPlay, one fan said, "Oh my goodness This looks badass," while another added, "Bro your work is amazing." A third said, "So…why is it that the individual(s) behind these are not bringing games to the market? We would buy and play these and they look more graphically impressive and polished than some AAA titles." We can only hope someone from Insomniac is watching, but either way, we're excited to see what the studio can do when Wolverine pops out his adamantium claws.
