Some of the worlds greatest upcoming minds are set to be trading their microscopes for Vandals or Phantoms in the VALORANT Red Bull Campus Clutch 2021, and with $20,000 on the line, the big brain plays are going to be coming thick and fast.

Boasting players such as Computer Mathematics students to Padawans of engineering, the twelve best University VALORANT teams now meet in Madrid, with one team jetting away with the money, the swagger, and the chance at becoming a professional player.

But while the knowledge and technical analysis may be key for most teams, renowned caster Jakub "Lothar" Szygulski has claimed it will take moments of individual brilliance to come out victorious.

With a wealth of experience in a career dating back to Quake 1, Lothar's analytical prowess has seen him identify the duellists, especially those manipulating Jett, as the key to victory at the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Finals.

Speaking exclusively to GGRecon, Lothar said: "In a scene like this when the teams are less synchronised when it comes to initiating plays, it means the initiators and duelists will be the most impactful players."

"When it comes to this event, I feel like players who are playing as duellists will get a lot of chances to shine. I'm personally looking for each Jett player to see if they actually understand the abilities correctly, such as knowing when to dash on to site. That will have the biggest impact on the games."

As almost the showmakers of the team, the flashy duellists will also see this as an opportunity to launch their professional careers, according to Lothar.

He added: "A lot of [professional] teams are looking for players like that - who's going to be the next Mehmet 'cNed' Yağız Ä°pek? In the last VCT, a personal discovery for me was Gilad 'ALIVE' Hakim who shown he can play like that."

So far, Canada's duellist Robert "truo" Pham has been snatched up by Immortals, after proving his worth in the qualification stages by utilising Jett and Cypher.

Lothar will be on the analyst desk throughout the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Finals, and co-streaming the event on his own channel.
