It was a clash of the titans as content superstar Logan Paul went up again boxing champion Floyd Mayweather. With Mayweather being one of the most lucrative pay-per-view boxers around, it's no surprise the June 6 fight pulled in some serious viewing figures. Taking place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, "Bragging Rights" controversially didn't have a clear winner. Despite this, Mayweather technically came out on top with him landing 43 punches of his 107 thrown compared to Paul landing 28 of his 217.

As the pair put on their skimpy shorts and laced up their gloves, some might've noticed Paul had something of a good luck charm with him. Notably, the YouTube personality carried his legendary Charizard Pokemon card into the ring with him. For those who don't know, Paul splashed out on the ultra-rare BGS 10 Charizard last year, making it one of the most expensive Pokemon cards out there. Now, Paul has claimed the investment has paid off, with the card now being worth a massive amount of money.

HOW MUCH IS LOGAN PAUL'S CHARIZARD POKEMON CARD WORTH?

There's been a recent resurgence in Pokemon cards, which is thought to have been helped by the franchise's ongoing success and the fact 2021 marks its 25th anniversary. Paul is known for videos like “I Bought A $200,000 Box Of Pokémon Cards” and "I Spent $2,000,000 On Pokémon Cards". Discussing the Charizard card in the post-match press conference, Paul explained, "It's a BGS 10 Charizard, first edition Charizard. It’s one of three in the world. It is my prized possession. Ever since I got this graded at a ten, the momentum in my life has been crazy. It’s my good luck charm".

Paul then held the card up to the crowd and cockily proclaimed, "I mean now, sh*t, this is a million-dollar card, baby. This is the card I walked out [with] to the Floyd Mayweather fight. This is a million-dollar card". Paul "only" paid $150,000 for the card last October when he bought it off Gary Haase - the self-proclaimed King Pokemon. Haase has an estimated $10 million worth of Pokemon cards and is your go-to if you want to buy a rare Pokemon card.

The craze of celebs splashing out on Pokemon cards is nothing new. Justin Bieber and Steve Aoki are obsessed with collecting them, while Logic broke the world record for the most expensive purchase last year when he parted with a cool $312,000 for a shiny Charizard. The record didn't last long, with a First Edition Base Set smashing titles and someone spending $360,000 on a Blastoise card that was one of only two ever printed.

Paul seems pretty confident with his own imaginary pricing structure for his Charizard card, and while $1 million might seem like a ridiculous price tag, we can only imagine how much it's gone up in price after being part of the Mayweather fight. Both Paul and Mayweather are set to make millions off the fight, meaning he probably isn't that bothered about how much he'll make off the Charizard card. Then again, given that he paid $150,000 last year, the fact Paul thinks it's now worth nearly seven times more than what he paid for it is really something.
