Indiana Jones. We know, someday, you'll be walking through our door... but not if we own a PlayStation. According to insider Nick "Shpeshal Nick" Baker, Bethesda's upcoming Indiana Jones will only be an Xbox and PC exclusive.

Can I Play New Indiana Jones Game On PlayStation?

Fans of the Indiana Jones film franchise have been excited for the chance to don their fedoras and play as the iconic adventure hero ever since the upcoming video game was announced on Twitter in January 2021. However, speaking on his Rumour Mill podcast, Baker claims the Bethesda's Indiana Jones game is "only coming to Xbox and PC".

Of course, this is nothing official and has to be taken with a pinch of salt. Although, it is worth giving Baker's view some attention after he accurately claimed a trailer for God Of War Ragnarok would be revealed during the 2021 PlayStation Showcase. Not to mention, Microsoft bought Bethesda for a reported $7.5 million in March 2021. Since then, Bethesda's Starfield has been officially announced as an Xbox exclusive, and it looks like The Elder Scrolls 6  is, also, tipped to be going down the same route.

Although, following Baker's tweet teasing Indiana Jones' Xbox exclusivity, fellow reliable leaker, Jez Corden, responded: "I think this is one prediction that may not pan out". So, it's not all temple of doom just yet, there may still be hope for PlayStation owners out there.

What Do We Know So Far About The New Indiana Jones Game?

There's still very little official information about the Indiana Jones game. Although, following Bethesda's tweet announcing the game, they shared a short teaser trailer which gave fans a small glimpse of what's to come. This included, Indy potentially having to travel to Rome, a photograph of a crumbling tomb and, of course, his whip and fedora. You can read here to learn more about any encrypted messages in the trailer and if X really does mark the spot.

Bethesda did announce the game will feature an "original story" for the whip-cracking archaeologist, and it is working alongside Lucasfilm Games. Bethesda's studio, MachineGames are developing the game and Todd Howard, Bethesda's director, will serve as executive producer. No news yet as to an official release date but "it'll be some time" and chances are Lucasfilm are planning to release more information in the run-up to the new Indiana Jones film scheduled for release in July 2022.

One thing is for sure, Bethesda are keeping the lid firmly on the ark for now, but they have their top people working on it.
