Nintendo, hun, we're sorry. We never should have doubted you.

There are some times when it's tough to be a Nintendo fan, when their actions become tough to justify and hope for the games that we want is slim. But now is not one of those times, as the recent Nintendo Direct proved, as one of the biggest announcements of the night was the arrival of Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games to Nintendo Switch Online and its Expansion Pack.

But what exactly is there to play?

There's plenty to keep you busy before more games arrive, as there's currently a full list of games from both handheld consoles that you can take for a spin.

Here's everything playable from the Game Boy on Switch right now:

  • Tetris
  • Super Mario Land 2 – 6 Golden Coins
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
  • Gargoyle's Quest
  • Game & Watch Gallery 3
  • Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
  • Metroid II – Return of Samus
  • Wario Land 3
  • Kirby's Dream Land

And here's everything you can play on the console from the era of the Game Boy Advance:

  • Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
  • WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames
  • Kuru Kuru Kururin
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

But it doesn't end there.

What Games Will Be Coming To Switch's Game Boy And Game Boy Advance Lists?

Not only are these games already a part of the library on the Switch, but as ever, Nintendo has promised more to come. There will likely be more games coming to the emulators than those shown by Nintendo in the Direct, but here are those officially announced to be on the way from the Game Boy:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
  • Pokemon Trading Card Game
  • Kirby: Tilt n' Tumble

And here are the titles coming from the Game Boy Advance:

  • Metroid Fusion
  • Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
  • Fire Emblem
  • F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
  • Golden Sun

It's plenty to look forward to, but in the meantime, we've got lots to keep us busy. If you need us, we'll be sticking fingers up noses in WarioWare.
