Amouranth was one of the victims of a Ubisoft data breach which led her popular Just Dance account to be hacked. As a result, the streamer was banned after the hackers changed her account name to 'Twitch sl*t', breaching Ubisoft's Terms of Service.

Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa has had to deal with a good amount of haters during her time as a Twitch streamer. She's made no secret of the high amount of online abuse she receives on a day-to-day basis from haters criticising her mic-licking, hot-tub fuelled videos. Even her fellow hugely popular Twitch streamer Felix "xQc" Lengyel spoke out against her ASMR streams. However, she's always been able to clap back at them in brilliant fashion.

Sadly, Amouranth has now had to deal with the verbal abuse from trolls who hacked into her Just Dance account. She was subsequently banned from the game due to the hackers changing her name to 'Twitch Sl*t' and leaving her unable to access her account.

When Was Amouranth's Just Dance Account Hacked?

Amouranth took to Twitter on January 4 to announce that her Just Dance account had been hacked due to a Ubisoft data breach. The result was that the hackers changed her name to 'Twitch sl*t' which automatically caused her to be banned from the game as it breached the Terms of Service. In the Tweet, Amouranth said: "This is the second of my platforms that’s been hacked this year... and we’re only 3 days in." She then appealed to her fans to tag Ubisoft in the hopes it would get the game publisher's attention given how the account had "all her high scores".

The official Twitter page for Just Dance responded: "Hey! We are aware of this issue and are currently working on a solution to ensure players' safety. We will have more info to share on this soon!". It's not entirely clear whether this is connected to the Just Dance data breach, that took place back in December 2021. Originally, Ubisoft stated that its investigation didn't show "that any Ubisoft account information has been compromised as a result of this incident". Although, a number of players claimed they were having problems with their accounts.

How Did Amouranth Respond To Her Account Being Hacked?

Amouranth was understandably annoyed with the hack, particularly as her account had all her high scores. As well as creating a whole new meta in the form of playing a game of Twister in yoga pants, one of Amouranth's most popular ways of entertaining her viewers is playing Just Dance. So, it's no surprise she was keen for Ubisoft to sort the issue.

While Amouranth is no stranger to abusive comments from trolls, she previously stated on January 3 that her haters only encourage her to keep streaming. On January 3, Amouranth stated: "My boundless energy comes from the compulsion to prove my haters wrong. I will never burn out because my detractors are infinitely petty with their remakes and sniping, and thus the drive to prove them wrong is a renewable source of energy."
