The most recent State of Play, courtesy of PlayStation, gave us a whole host of surprises. From a remake of Resident Evil 4 to new information on Street Fighter 6, it seemingly had a little something for everyone - especially those who like zombies. Although, many people were expecting some kind of announcement regarding the latest in the God of War series, and were left disappointed.

What Are Gamers Saying About God Of War Ragnarok?

The 30-minute presentation was a who's who of massive IPs, so you'd been forgiven for thinking that there'd be some news regarding God of War Ragnarok, especially as it's slated to be hitting a console near you this year. However, there was nothing. Nada.

Fans took to Twitter to share their frustration over the radio silence from both PlayStation and Santa Monica Studio.

One person Tweeted: "I'm so disappointed with the state of play. They didn't announce TLOU3 or a new God of War game after Ragnarok. We also didn't get news on another Horizon game. The whole thing was a let down from start to finish."

Another added: "F*cking sat through the state of play to see PC get another playstation exclusive which is bullsh*t and didnt even get any god of war Ragnarok news… fuming."

When Do We Know About God Of War Ragnarok?

Originally, the game was due to be released in 2021. However (obviously, as we're now in 2022), it got pushed back for 'further development'.

The most recent update we've had was in May 2022, when PlayStation uploaded a new blog regarding the game's accessibility features. Santa Monica Studio outlined that there are 60+ accessibility options that are 'designed to suit players' needs'.

The blog states: "Not only have we redesigned our UI to allow for more flexibility and readability, but we have also rebuilt controller remapping from the ground up and added more customization to our combat and interaction systems. We have retained all our accessibility features from 2018’s God of War and expanded upon them to include more than 60 ways to adjust gameplay to best suit your style and needs."

And that's it. As this blog was released just last month, many people were expecting some news during the State of Play. But it looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer before we can get back to swinging our Leviathan axe.
