Everyone's Saying The Same Thing About The Steam Deck
Valve has announced that they're releasing a handheld PC - and everyone's pretty excited about it.
The device, complete with a 7" screen, will allow players to play traditionally PC-focused games on the go. Valve even made a point to say that it is "comparable to a gaming laptop with the ability to run the latest AAA games".
Another pretty cool point is the price - the lowest being £349/$399 with 64GB storage, with other options for more storage available for £459/$529 (250GB SSD), and £569/$649 (512GB SSD).
The device has two analogue sticks, two touchpads, ABXY face buttons, four rear buttons, analogue triggers, and gyro controls.
Even BETTER news is that we don't have to wait long to get our hands on it, as it will start shipping in December.

As you can probably imagine, the reception to the news has been pretty huge. But everyone's saying that they're planning on ditching their Nintendo Switch for Valve's offering.
What Has Gabe Newell Said About The Steam Deck?
In an interview earlier this year, held at Santa Maria College, Gabe gave a cryptic answer to a student's request during a Q&A session. When asked if any Steam games will be ported to consoles or if the games will be staying on PC, Newell stated: "You will get a better idea of that by the end of this year," adding: "It won't be the answer that you expect" after a short pause.
Wasn't The Handheld Console Supposed To Be Called Steampal?
Well, kind of. Last month, a data miner called Pavel Djundik, reported that Valve’s 'Neptune' Controller had shown up in the latest Steam Client Beta, and it was called SteamPal, alongside something else called 'SteamPal Games'. He added: "This update also added a "quick access menu" and a "power menu" I have a feeling all these strings related to "Neptune". Is Valve making a handheld Steam console?"
"There's also something called "Callisto Developer Program", he later Tweeted.
Either way, we can't wait for December!
