A level designer who worked on the incredibly popular DEATHLOOP has revealed that gamers haven't found all of Blackreef's secrets yet.

The game, which came out in September this year, was met with critical acclaim. At the time of writing, it has an 88% rating on Metacritic - and has been tipped as a contender for Game of the Year.

When it comes to the basic premise, the clue's in the title. You need to kill eight targets to break the 'loop' that you're stuck in. There's been lots of little Easter eggs and fun things to discover - but apparently we haven't found them all... yet.

What Is The Final Secret In DEATHLOOP?

Julien Eveillé, a level designer at Arkane Studios who worked on DEATHLOOP, tweeted: "I know for a fact the Internet didn't find everything hidden in Deathloop so far. There's still one secret thing I want someone to discover".

One person quickly replied to the Tweet, jokingly asking if it was to do with the 'X that marks the spot'. He said: "IS IT THE MEANING OF THIS RED X THAT MARKS THE SPOT? (Jokes aside, I can't figure out for the life of me what it's supposed to be for. Location: Inside the retirement chamber, behind the bulletproof glass)."

As it currently stands, we don't know what the final secret is. The game is so dense and detailed, we probably aren't going to figure this out any time soon.

How Can I Play DEATHLOOP And What's It About?

DEATHLOOP sees the player wake up on a deserted beach, with little to no recollection of who they are or what they're doing there. You'll quickly come to learn that you're Colt Vahn and you have one goal in mind: Break the loop.

The game is currently available on PC and PlayStation 5. You can pick up a copy for between £50-£60.

And while you're here, why not check out our review of the game?
