New datamined cosmetics from Apex Legends suggests that the game's next season could feature an Alien and Predator crossover.

Crossovers are a massive part of the current gaming landscape, with Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone popularising them over recent years with a multitude of regular events. As they continue to be successful, other developers have jumped on board, and crossovers with other games or big media franchises now seem to be the norm.

Apex Legends recently had a successful crossover with various anime franchises, and dataminers suggest that Alien and Predator may be next.

Are Alien And Predator Coming To Apex Legends?

Frequent Apex Legends leaker, SenosApex, recently shared some datamined content to Twitter, showcasing a skin for Gibraltar, alongside a skin for the C.A.R and Longbow respectively. Keen-eyed fans noticed quickly that the skins feature aspects that closely resemble the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise, and the Yautja from the Predator franchise. For instance, the C.A.R has a black and neon green colour scheme which resembles the skin and blood of the Xenomorph, while the Longbow has the scaly pattern of the Predator along its side.

To add further credibility to these skins being related to Alien and Predator, there were more leaks posted to the ApexUncovered subreddit, which hosts leaks and datamined content. In a post by u/29UwU29, they highlighted skins for the Wingman and Hemlock which featured screens with the Yautja alphabet on them.

The Alien and Predator franchises have a history of crossovers amongst themselves, with several comics, movies, and games featuring both, so it would make sense for Apex Legends to incorporate them for a simultaneous crossover event.

Will This Be An Official Crossover?

The recent Apex Legends Gaiden event that began in July featured skins that alluded to anime franchises like Naruto, One Piece, and My Hero Academia, but this wasn't technically an official crossover. EA and Respawn never explicitly stated that the content of the event was related to the previously mentioned anime, so players are wondering if this will be the case for the leaked Alien and Predator crossover.

As one of the datamined skins does feature the canon alphabet of the Predator species, it does seem like this event may be official. We'll only know when EA or Respawn announces something, so make sure to check their official channels to see when the event will be released and what exactly it will feature.
