We've all known it was coming for a while now. The Fortnite-ification of Warzone is well underway. Now, the latest kooky crossover could bring Terminator to Call of Duty. To be perfectly honest, it's no surprise that CoD has strayed into crossovers - it's working so unbelievably well for Epic Games that you'd be silly to not get on the IP hype.

With Godzilla and Kong most recently coming to the game - and the '80s Action Heroes event going down a treat - it's clear that Warzone isn't intending on letting up any time soon. And though the '80s event is over, that doesn't mean that action stars won't yet appear. The upcoming Terminator crossover intends to prove that action movies haven't lost their sweet touch in Warzone.

Is Terminator Coming To Call Of Duty: Warzone Season 4?

Warzone has started teasing its next crossover, and it looks to be with the '80s classic action franchise, Terminator. James Cameron's 1984 sci-fi favourite is once again entering a new arena.

An initial tweet from Call of Duty indicated that players were receiving an "unusual haul" in their search for loot this season. It included an image featuring a mysterious silver metal bar. A new quote tweet then revealed that the bar is a development of Skynet - the company that develops the dystopian Terminators in the film franchise.

The image of the bar of Mimetic Polyalloy is accompanied by a caption that reads "Grab this intel as fast as you can… they'll be back," referencing the iconic line delivered by Arnie in the film. Get ready for the map to be overrun by rogue T-model robots.

When Is Terminator Coming To Warzone?

Terminator crossovers are nothing new. You might remember when the titular bot and Sarah Connor jumped off the Battle Bus into Fortnite. He's also made his mark on the Mortal Kombat series, making him a popular crossover character. Who knows which Terminator we'll end up getting (we're placing our bets on Arnie). Whoever it is, they're likely to arrive at some point this season, with an announcement to come in the next week or so.

Yet another crossover is likely to rub some fans the wrong way - but it's certainly nothing new. Either way, there are plenty who are keen on the idea and are going to love the arrival of the futuristic franchise in the shooter. Sorry, everyone - it looks like the crossovers are here to stay. If you thought Godzilla and Kong were weird in a WWII setting, what about a time-travelling robot?
