If becoming one of the world's best competitive organisations wasn't enough, 100 Thieves decided to be arguably the most prominent esports apparel designers in the industry. Still not enough? How about fledging out one of the most extensive content creation teams in the business? Nope, still not good enough.

With no limits to their ambitions, 100 Thieves has moved from a hoodie org, to a respected global esports organisation, to content moguls, and now to a game developer, as founder Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag and president John Robinson have revealed their latest venture.

100 Thieves are officially designing their own video game named Project X.

Taking to YouTube and social media, the organisation revealed plans to add game development to their ever-growing portfolio. However, they insisted that the game won't simply be an added bonus to the organisation's repertoire, and they intend to have their developing team constantly building on the title's successes, or non-successes.

While the game itself hasn't been revealed, the title of Project X has, and 100 Thieves have said that a wealth of community support will be behind the developers, bouncing on their catalogue of streamers and content creators for ideas surrounding gameplay and sustainability.

"It was always such a struggle where I’d be playing some of my favourite games, and I’d be waiting for the sequel and these studios just sit in the dark for three years. There’s just no process where you feel connected to the development of that video game," said Nadeshot, hoping for a closer-knit bond between developers and the Project X audience.

What is Project X?

The details of what Project X will be, in terms of game genre and difficulty, are yet to be seen. The most obvious style of game would be a First-Person-Shooter, given Nadeshot's Call of Duty upbringing and his most recent hobby of VALORANT

Nadeshot himself listed the likes of Halo 2/3, Gears of War, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as the inspiration behind Project X, implying that an FPS could be what they have cooking up.

However, with such a community focus, a party game might be more suitable. Given the likes of Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter, Leslie "Fuslie" Fu, and Jack "CouRage" Dunlop all found massive success in Among Us, hedging bets towards a fun and simple FPS deduction title wouldn't be unreasonable thinking.
