The VALORANT Episode 5 Act 2 release date is fast approaching, with players chomping at the bit for new content. VALORANT is by far one of the most popular tactical shooters on the market at the moment. Riot Games mainly releases content in the form of episodes and acts, with each of them bringing a new agent, map or possible rework. With the newest act soon to be around the corner, here’s everything we know about VALORANT Episode 5 Act 2 so far, including the release date and any leaks.

VALORANT Episode 5 Act 2: Release Date

Based on the information we already know from Episode 5 Act 1, it’s likely that VALORANT Episode 5 Act 2 will begin on August 23rd 2022.

VALORANT Episode 5 Act 2: New Agent - Mage

So far, all we know about Riot’s newest agent is their codename: Mage. A lot of players are convinced that this newest agent is from India and is named Varun Batra. A teaser of this can be found on the training range. 

Players have speculated that Varun Batra will be a Controller, as the last Controller to be released was Astra. Alongside this, it’d be nice to have a new Controller to potentially shake up the meta on some maps and change the way players look at strategies.

VALORANT Episode 5 Act 2: New Battle Pass

As per typical VALORANT Act updates, we’ll be receiving a new battle pass. Similar to previous battle passes, the premium pass will most likely include 3 different skin lines, new sprays, tags, banners and more. There will also be a knife skin for players who put in the hours to finish the entire thing. There will, however, be some goodies to pick up along the way if you aren’t looking to purchase it this act.

VALORANT Episode 5 Act 2: New Skin Bundle

Skins are the lifeblood of VALORANT, and a lot of them are damn good-looking. The newest bundle 'Daedalus' has been leaked to possibly drop with the newest act. However, we don’t really know much about them apart from the small info that was released in a tweet. 

Overall the newest act doesn't seem to add too much to the game, but we’ll know in time as more information is slowly released.
