Silent Hill 2 is one of the most acclaimed horror titles of all time, with players still remembering James' horrific descent into madness 20 years later. While we still have no information on the release date of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, and barely any info about what kind of remake we'll be getting, the system requirements for PC have already been revealed. As the game is a PS5 console exclusive, we're expecting some next-gen graphics, and the PC specs reflect this, with some high requirements that many players may struggle to reach. Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
  • Memory: 12 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB 

 

Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 11 64bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 2080RTX or AMD Radeon 6800XT
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB 

The developers also provide their own recommendations about what settings you should use, depending on your hardware. For players on the minimum requirements, you should be able to play the game on low to medium quality settings, at 1080p and 30 FPS. For players on the recommended requirements, you should be able to play the game on medium at 60 FPS, or high at 30 FPS in 1080p. 

Regardless of your current setup, the game doesn't seem like it will release for a while, so you should have time to upgrade.
