The Pokemon Trading Card Game is finally doing a collaboration with Pokemon GO, and the crossover is being celebrated in the Pokemon GO TCG Crossover event. As part of the event, Pokemon being featured in the TCG set will be spawning in the wild in Pokemon GO, there will be a series of Collection Challenges, and the Kanto Starters are being featured in Mega Raids. There's a lot to see and do besides this, as well, so read on for all the info!

Need a refresher on type matchups? Check out our Pokemon GO type chart.

The Pokemon GO TCG Crossover event is running for a hefty two weeks, which is much longer than most Pokemon GO events.

It'll start at 10am local time on June 16 and it will end at 8pm on June 30.

The event will feature a wide array of wild spawns, as well as some new Pokemon! Wimpod and Golisopod, originally discovered in the Alola region, will make their debut in the mobile game. Additionally, a new costumed Pikachu will debut, wearing a TCG hat.

Wimpod will evolve into Golisopod with 400 Wimpod candies, so get catching!

Here's who else you might see spawning in the wild during the event:

This event is a celebration of Pokemon GO, so it only makes sense that Meltan and Melmetal will be featured in some way. For the duration of the event, Meltan can be encountered in its shiny form after opening the Mystery Box. Additionally, the amount of time needed between Mystery Box uses will be reduced.

Reminder: the Mystery Box can be reloaded by transferring Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Pokemon HOME, Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu, or Pokemon Let's Go, Eevee.

Meltan can only evolve into Melmetal in Pokemon GO. This evolution takes 400 Meltan candies.
