Noibat is Flying/Dragon dual-type Pokemon that certainly won’t be melting the ice in anyone’s heart this Valetine’s Day with its x4 weakness to Ice-types.

However, you’ll have an increased chance of catching Noibat, one of the top 10 rarest Pokemon in Pokemon GO, during its Community Day and during Spotlight Hour on 14th February 2023.

To have a Noibat in Pokemon GO is impressive enough, but to have a shiny Noibat is the ultimate flex. Don’t just wing it, follow this guide for everything you need to know about Noibat in Pokemon GO!

First of all - good news for Noibat fans. You CAN catch a shiny Noibat in Pokemon GO! With its lovely teal-green color, this shiny is highly coveted among Trainers everywhere.

But that’s only half the battle - hang around to learn how to maximise your chances of finding this bat Pokemon.

How To Evolve Noibat In Pokemon GO

Not only is Noibat incredibly rare, it needs a whopping 400 Noibat candy to evolve into Noivern. This is why Community Days and Spotlight Hours are going to be so important for any Trainer looking to complete their Pokedex. As a featured Pokemon, you can increase the number of encounters in these two special events. Not only will you earn all the Noibat candy you need to evolve Noibat into Noivern, you’re also more likely to find a shiny one!

Can You Increase Shiny Odds In Pokemon GO?

At the time of writing, there is no way to increase shiny odds via items. Contrary to popular belief, Spotlight Hours also do not seem to improve your chances. However, it is more likely you’ll encounter a shiny Noibat during their Spotlight Hour thanks to the sheer number of Noibats around.

Niantic can boost shiny Pokemon catch rates during events like Community Days or Safari Zones, or in Legendary Raids. That means your best bet is to hang on until another Noibat Community Day is announced!
