You may be wondering about the Overwatch 2 Season 2 release date, as it's been officially announced by Blizzard, additionally shedding some light on how the seasonal system will work. Overwatch 2 Season 2 Release Date

The Overwatch 2 Season 2 release date was actually announced way back on September 15, before the game had even officially launched. In a blog post about the game's free-to-play model and how it would work going forward, they announced the second season would begin on December 6, only two months after launch. This also confirmed that going forward, each season would be a total of nine weeks, meaning the second season is likely to end February 7, 2023. 

Over time, more information has also been revealed about the content coming in Overwatch 2 Season 2, such as a new tank hero called Ramattra, who was first seen back in 2019 during the Storm Rising event cinematic. Along with this is a new map that leaks suggest takes place in a frozen temple similar to Nepal, and Game Director Aaron Keller has said is linked closely with Ramattra. 

Additionally, there will be a new a battle pass for the whole season, along with 30 new skins and a Mythic skin, though Blizzard hasn't clarified if these are part of the battle pass or not.
