Overwatch 2 lets you rank up to a high level with the battle pass, but the sequel eradicates the ability to show it publically. This has frustrated long-time players of the game, but there is still a level attached to your account regardless. Is there an Overwatch 2 max level to consider? Let's dive in.

From our experience and overall view of Overwatch 2, there doesn't seem to be a max level attached to the game. The most important thing to know is that the battle pass does last longer than the initial 80 levels. Once you get the mythic Cyber Demon Genji skin, there are prestige titles you can unlock that will be placed in your nameplate. These prestige titles last all the way up to Level 200, so that could be the cap for this seasonal pass level but we expect the rank can exceed 200. If we hear anything different, we will update this article.

Levelling up in Overwatch 2 to get the mythic Genji skin will take quite a long time, especially if you lose a lot of games. It gets exceeded by you finishing challenges and winning games successfully.

To check your challenges, go to the Battle Pass screen on the main menu. Now, select Challenges on the left side of the screen, just below "Buy Tiers."

There are many ways to grind experience in Overwatch 2. Daily challenges are fairly easy to complete and will give you a total of 9,000 points per day if you finish three. Each of the weekly challenges offers a beefy 5,000 points and they're a little bit more challenging. For example, you'll need to win 10 games with the Playing To Win challenge.

Daily and Weekly Challenges are less specific, but Seasonal Challenges ask you to use certain abilities or effects to gain points. For example, Never Saw It Coming has you play as Junker Queen and damage a hero with the return flight of her throwing knife. Each of the Seasonal Challenges gives you 500 points but these specific goals can be fast to pull off.

Lastly, there are event and lifetime points. Event points only come up during seasonal events like Halloween or the end-of-year holidays. Meanwhile, lifetime points are permanent goals that ask you to win specific match types like control the flag (CTF) or Team Deathmatch.

You can buy tiers as well, but we recommend not purchasing these as you can easily rank up by playing games and having fun with your friends across all platforms instead.
