Being not just Mega Raid bosses - but legendary ones as well - Mega Latias and Mega Latios will be especially difficult compared to normal tier 5 raid bosses. So, you’ll first need to be sure you have an entire team of six Pokemon GO players, each with Pokemon load-outs with CP as high as possible.

In terms of Latios and Latia's weakness in Pokemon GO, both legendaries have a wide range thanks to their dual Dragon and Psychic typing - all doing a boosted 160% damage:

  • Bug
  • Dark
  • Dragon
  • Fairy
  • Ghost
  • Ice

This makes for quite a few more Mega Latias and Mega Latios Pokemon GO counters compared to other legendaries. So, if your and your teammate’s Pokemon are highly levelled and are any of the above types with equivalent movesets, you should be able to beat these Mega Latias and Mega Latios Pokemon GO raids with little issue.

That’s a wrap on our Mega Latias and Mega Latios Pokemon GO raid counters guide. If you’re looking for more tips besides the Mega Latios weaknesses and Mega Latias weaknesses in Pokemon GO, check out if you can catch a Shiny Seedot. Better yet, take a look at how the new Primal Reversion feature works for Kyogre and Groudon.
