The Explosive Goo Gun is one of the most powerful weapons in the Fortnite arsenal, but for it to reach its full potential, you need to know how to use it.

Fortnite Explosive Goo Gun: General Tips

The one true downside of the Explosive Goo Gun is its subpar range. Its projectiles are highly susceptible to gravity, and you'll find it near impossible to aim accurately outside of close-up encounters. With that, try to close the distance on your opponents before engaging with the Explosive Goo Gun.

Fortnite Explosive Goo Gun Vs. Players

When you do get up close, use the Explosive Goo Gun's fire-and-forget nature to your advantage. Since it takes some time for the goo to detonate, consider pulling out another weapon to use in the time between blasts. This way, you can lay down some extra firepower on your fleeing enemies as they try to avoid the onslaught of goo.

Fortnite Explosive Goo Gun Vs. Structures

Where the Explosive Goo Gun really shines is in modes with building enabled. Building is a staple of Fortnite and is often used as a defence mechanism. When you inflict damage on an opponent, you can almost always expect them to build some walls, hide away, and attempt to heal back to full HP. Well, The Goo Gun is the ultimate counter to this very situation.

If you can pin an enemy down and force them to retreat inside their builds, there's almost no escaping the Explosive Goo Gun. The Explosive Goo Gun shreds structures apart, whether they're made of Wood, Stone, or Metal. Unload the Explosive Goo Gun on an opponent's makeshift bunker to blow them — and their structures — to bits.

Fortnite Explosive Goo Gun: How To Counter

If you're on the other end of an Explosive Goo Gun, we suggest you run in terror. Your chances of eliminating a user wielding this weapon at close-range are slim to none. So instead of facing it head-on, fight it at a distance. Back away, keep light on your feet, and pick at the Explosive Goo Gun user with a Sniper or DMR.

The Explosive Goo Gun is live in Fortnite now and ripe for the picking. Search Chests, Supply Drops, and Floor Loot to find the Explosive Goo Gun and send your opponents back to the lobby in an eruption of adhesive orange fluid.

Physical copies of the Fortnite Anime Legends Pack are available now! You can grab a digital copy starting October 22, 2022.
