The FIFA 23 ratings have finally been released after months of anticipation, so we finally get to see how some of the best players in the world stack up. While specific attributes matter more to a player's viability in FIFA now than a general overall rating, it is undeniably exciting find out who will be walking out of the best packs when the game releases. While he shares a rating with four other players, it is no surprise that Karim Benzema sits unequivocally at the top of the list, coming off of a monumental season that will likely result in a Ballon D'Or win. He climbs two ratings, which is more than anyone else in the top 25 group, with handsome upgrades to his face stats that should help reflect how clutch he is in real life.

Other key upgrades at the top come for players like Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland, and Thibaut Courtois after impressive seasons, but the story is perhaps one more of downgrades.

Lionel Messi finally loses the top spot in a FIFA game, with drops coming to other typical heavyweights like Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr. Overall, it is set to be an exciting year for FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, but we all know that Kylian Mbappe will dominate the meta regardless of how good anyone else is.
