FFXIV Lunar Kamuy is a magical wolf that is one of the mounts introduced in Stormblood. As usually happens, in every expansion of FFXIV a group of mounts comes having the same motif but different characteristics. While there are the horse-themed mounts from A Realm Reborn, Stormblood introduced the wolf ones, each related to a Trial in the expansion.

The FFXIV Lunar Kamuy is a black and white wolf with golden stripes all over its body. It is also surrounded by a beautiful purple flame, giving it a mysterious vibe. This mount is related to Tsukuyomi, a character in Stormblood. The FFXIV Lunar Kamuy is also an important step in the journey to get the giant Kamuy of Nine Tails, a fierce mount that can be only earned once a player has all the kamuy mounts.

To obtain the FFXIV Lunar Kamuy mount, there are two methods. First, the mount is earned by completing “The Minstrel’s Ballad: Tsukuyomi’s Pain” also known as Tsukuyomi Extreme. By defeating the boss, you have a small chance of finding the Lunar Kamuy Fife, the item which will add the mount to your collection once used. In this case, then, all players will roll a number to try their luck and see who wins it. If you were not awarded when the Fife dropped, don’t worry! It can also be bought from Eschina in Rhalgr’s Reach by 99 Luna Totems that are earned every time you defeat the boss.

If trying your luck or farming the Trial 99 times to get the mount are not options that seem attractive to you, there is a third method to get your hands on the FFXIV Lunar Kamuy mount with events such as FFXIV Moogle Treasure Trove. By completing specific dungeons, raids, and trials, you earn a special currency to exchange for mounts.
