Destiny 2 Skydock IV is a Lost Sector in the EDZ, and one of the best options for farming exotic armour. Destiny 2 regularly adds new exotic weapons and armour, but the only way to get new exotic armour is to complete lost Sectors on Legend or Master difficulty. Skydock IV is an easy one to finish, but it can be difficult to find. Here is what you need to know to complete the Destiny 2 Skydock IV Lost Sector on Master or Legend difficulty.

Destiny 2 Skydock IV: Preparation

As is always the case with Legend Lost Sectors, we have Match Game, Extra Shield and Locked Equipment to deal with. This means your equipment is locked once you begin the Lost Sector, more enemies have shields than usual, and using the wrong elemental type against enemy shields is very ineffective.

We have Unstoppable and Barrier champions here as well, so be sure to have the necessary perks equipped. As this Lost Sector is all Cabal, using a Skyburner's Oath with the Anti-Barrier Scout Rifle mod equipped is a great idea. Speaking of, the burn for this Lost Sector is Solar, so Skyburner's Oath is going to do even more damage. There are Unstoppable Champions in this Lost Sector as well, so a pulse rifle, a shotgun, or Malfeasance will be useful to bring them down. There are only Void shields to contend with, but they are hardly a concern.

To get to the Skydock IV Lost Sector location, go to the EDZ map and go to the top left corner. It is up there underneath the huge Cabal ship. If you have completed it before, you will see the icon for it on your map. If not, simply travel to the Sunken Isles drop zone. Go toward the Cabal ship but stay to the right, below the massive ramp.

There is an entrance underneath the ship, which goes through and out the other side. Go in there, and to your right onto the raised area. The entrance to the Lost Sector will be right in front of you. Complete the normal version once to unlock the Legend difficulty.

There are two ways to complete this Lost Sector, fast and reckless or slightly slower and more methodical. Unlike most Lost Sectors, you do not need to defeat all of the champions in order to get exotics to drop. As such, you can sprint to the end, kill a handful of enemies in the last room, defeat the boss, and open the chest. This method is very quick and very doable, but it can be risky. You are likely to die a couple of times doing this, which doesn't matter so long as you kill the boss and open the chest. However, you can also clear the Lost Sector as normal, and it really doesn't take much longer.

It won't take long because Skydock IV is one of the shortest Lost Sectors in the game. You start entering a small room with two regular Cabal enemies and one Unstoppable Incendior. Use the Skyburner's Oath, or a more suitable weapon for taking down Unstoppable champions. This room is very small, so this fight gets cramped very quickly if you are not prepared for the champion. Deal with these enemies, then head down the hole.

Don't drop straight down to the bottom, take the various ledges as you go. This way, you can take out the Psions on the platform below to give you a safe place to drop to. From the bottom ledge in the hole, you will be able to see the enemies ahead. There will be an Unstoppable Incendior which you can take out from there. Be quick about it though, as there is also a Barrier Colossus that spawns in here and it will quickly introduce itself into the fight. Take out the Unstoppable champion from a distance, then drop down into the room to get some cover from the Colossus. You need Anti-Barrier rounds to deal with them, so Skyburner's Oath or another Anit-Barrier weapon will be necessary.

With the champions defeated, there are just a handful of enemies in the room to deal with. Take them out and move on to the final room. There are plenty of ads here, as well as another Unstoppable champion and the boss itself, a super-tough Colossus. Luckily, you can use the entrance to the room for cover. Hang back, take out enemies from a distance, and clear out the room. Once the room is a bit quieter, move in and focus on the boss. A good Solar super will go a long way here, but otherwise, there isn't much to say except keep shooting things until they die. Simple as that, once the boss is dead you can open the chest and reap your rewards.

That is everything you need to know to complete the Destiny 2 Skydock IV Lost Sector on Legend or Master difficulty. For more on the game, check out our Destiny 2 Arc 3.0 guide.
