Introduced in Generation 8, Breaking Swipe is a powerful Dragon-type attack that has now made its way to Pokemon GO as a Charged Attack. However, it will be a rare find for many trainers. Here is how to get the attack for yourself in this Breaking Swipe Pokemon GO guide.

Currently, you can only get Breaking Swipe in Pokemon GO through the upcoming Primal Rumblings event. Part of the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Global, Primal Rumblings will run from Wednesday, 22 February at 10AM to Friday, 24 February at 10PM - unlocking more Generation 3 Wild encounters, raids, and other bonuses.

From that same 22 February start time to Wednesday, 1 March at 10AM, however, you can encounter a Rayquaza amongst available five-star raids. If you manage to defeat and catch a Rayquaza in these raids during that timeframe, it will know the featured Charged Attack, Breaking Swipe.

In Pokemon GO, Breaking Swipe is a unique move like in other games too. Along with 50 power in trainer battles, it will also decrease your opponent's Attack stat with each use.

In gym and raid battles, this effect is sadly removed along with Breaking Swipe's power being lowered to 35. Nevertheless, if you want a new edge when it comes to PvP battles in Pokemon GO, Breaking Swipe is a powerful option - and getting a Rayquaza during Primal Rumblings is the only way to get it.

That's all you all need to know, thanks to this Breaking Swipe Pokemon GO guide. For what else is new in the game, check out how to get Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. Better yet, here is how you can catch Kecleon
